Dementia and Voting in the Voice referendum

Dementia Australia is holding their last session on Dementia and Voting, to prepare people living with dementia, their families and their caregivers in the upcoming referendum. The session will cover topics such as how dementia might impact decision-making and the person’s ability to vote, how to support a person living with dementia in the voting process, and what to do if the person is no longer able to vote.
International Day of Older Persons Roundtable 2023

In honour of the International Day of Older Persons, Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) is assembling the members of their National Older Persons Reference Group (NOPRG) for a roundtable and is inviting attendees to join in on the conversation. Views will be shared on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for Older Persons and its impact on ageism. Note that the link to the discussion will be sent 24 hours prior to the session, and a replay link will also be provided along with a recording of the session to be uploaded to OPAN’s website.
