Welcome to our third edition of the Community Care News Digest for 2023! In this edition of the News Digest, you will read about all the latest updates, information, resources and events that are happening across the region. 

Aged care providers have proposed that the Federal Government establish a specific visa for skilled migrants to deliver 24/7 registered nurses to facilities to address the workforce issues. National Seniors Australia’s latest National Seniors Social Survey has revealed that 80 per cent of older people have been impacted by increasing living costs. Western Sydney University is seeking workplaces to host students from their postgraduate degrees in Counselling and Psychotherapy and released a placement manual for workplaces to utilise the opportunity. Western Sydney Community Forum (WSCF) is delivering full day workshops across Western Sydney on Adaptive Leadership and Marketing & Branding for those working in the Community Sector.  These full day workshops are designed specifically for the Community Sector in Western Sydney and will assist you to navigate through transitional change.
