Aged Care Wage Increase Information
A factsheet has been developed to support local government and councils to understand the aged care wage increase. This factsheet includes an explanation of the Fair Work Commission decision, and discusses additional funding for aged care programs.
Feedback Required: Draft Design Guidelines and Principles for Residential Accommodation
The Department of Health and Aged Care is seeking feedback on the National Aged Care Design Principles and Guidelines. Feedback is required primarily from representatives of aged care accommodation providers involved in construction and refurbishment projects in residential aged care homes in Australia, but the survey is open to all stakeholders. The deadline for completing this survey is 20 October 2023. This feedback will inform a new Residential Aged Care Accommodation Framework which will include the new design principles and guidelines and will be introduced from July 2024.

In this conference, attendees will be able to hear the voices of consumers, volunteers and staff from a range of diverse communities, in the celebration of older people’s lives at home. This event is suited to community members, advocates, workers in the community aged care sector, local government, and others.
