Business, community and government working together to create positive social impact in Western Sydney.
Parramatta City Council, Western Sydney Community Forum and the Western Sydney Collective have been running a series of events on Innovative Partnerships and Social Investment in Western Sydney since late 2015.
Through the series of targeted forums, we have been generating interest and excitement in both sectors about opportunities for community-business partnerships. The response to the series has been overwhelming positive with over 250 people expressing their interest in and commitment to developing new community-business partnerships that ultimately strengthen Western Sydney as a fair and inclusive place to live, work and play.
This work culminates in the major event on 8 June bringing community and business together. The forum will provide a starting point for identifying strategies, resources and partners to address common concerns.
We will be joined by special guests NSW Minister John Ajaka, Lucy Turnbull AO, Chief Commissioner, Greater Sydney Commission and Professor Peter Shergold AC, Chancellor, Western Sydney University.
Join us for our final event where we will:
- Share key learnings from previous forums
- Prioritise our social investment goals
- Activate key community-business relationships and networks
- Review and identify resources required
- Kick-start 3-5 new innovative partnerships in Western Sydney
