On 28th and 29th August, our HACC Development Officer attended the “Getting the Best from the NDIS Conference” organised by NSW Council for Intellectual Disability (NSW CID). There were many signficant learnings from the conference and it provided a wonderful opportunity to hear about the experiences of people with intellectual disability in accessing the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) accross the variety of Australian trial sites. In addition, representatives from the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) were present throughout the two days and were able to respond to issues as they arose.
