The first of the 2016 census data has just arrived, and overall there have been some interesting changes to Australia since the 2011 census. Across Australia we are experiencing a boom in overseas migration while experiencing a reduction in religious identification. WSCF has compiled a data snapshot that may have an impact on Greater Western Sydney especially given their implications in affecting the future growth and development of this vibrant region.
The 2016 census data will be an important set of information to ensure WSCF projects, initiatives and internal directions support the growth of the region as well as ensure access and equity for the communities of Greater Western Sydney.
Please note that this data is only a snapshot of select data currently available, more data will be released over the coming months.
Profile.ID will be releasing local data on the 11th of July which will provide a deeper focus on the communities of Greater Western Sydney.
