WELCOME!
WALU, Western Sydney Anti-Racism Week, is a series of activities and events aimed at fostering dialogue and reflection on anti-racism and anti-racist practice. The goal is to enhance social cohesion and multiculturalism in the Western Sydney region by providing opportunities for communities to come together to reflect on these issues and look at ways of strengthening our region.
During the week, an art exhibition will be featured, showcasing new works created by six commissioned artists. These artworks aim to delve into and address pressing concerns. Additionally, the week will host panels, discussions, and various activities. This event assures a dynamic community dialogue, providing an opportunity for interaction with professionals and thought leaders. From panel discussions, workshops, art events, a film night and comedy night, the focus is on learning about and understanding the diverse experiences and challenges faced by individuals and communities today, and working towards strengthening our already strong multicultural region.
