This event is for any students, clients, consumers and carers living in the Hills Shire Council to celebrate International Day of People with Disability. Activities on the day include guest speakers, networking, morning tea, and free access to all pool and gym facilities.

The Summer Foundation’s UpSkill program has several programs in December for upskilling NDIS professionals assisting people with complex support needs. Realising Rights and the Voices of Older People with Lived Experience

Mental Health Coordinating Council is hosting an online event which will discuss engaging with older people and people with disability, promoting systemic reform and best practice, and more. Participants will also be able to hear from the NSW Ageing and Disability Commissioner, Robert Fitzgerald, and Acting Director Older People’s Mental Health Policy Unit, NSW Ministry of Health, Elizabeth Abbott. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

NCOSS Election Advocacy Toolkit for 2023 NSW Policy Platform: Working Together for a Fairer NSW

NCOSS has developed a policy platform called “Working Together for a Fairer NSW”, which aims to work towards a NSW where everyone can access the resources and supports we need to be able to live a thriving and equitable life. NCOSS is hosting an online session explaining their NSW election advocacy toolkit, and how to use it in order to optimise your advocacy efforts.
