Understanding and Implementing the Aged Care Diversity Framework

As a partnership between STARS, the Multicultural Network and Canterbury-Bankstown City Council, this workshop examines each component of the Aged Care Diversity Framework, identifies the links to the Aged Care Quality Standards, and explores how to implement it within home support and home care agencies. Facilitated by Glen Sorensen, it will be designed for use on older clients from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds, as well as other diverse groups identified in aged care. This workshop is suited for managers, coordinators, senior staff and frontline workers. Participants must attend both days.

Dementia Australia Virtual Classroom – Understanding Dementia

This workshop will provide knowledge on dementia, including its signs and symptoms, causes, and explaining how dementia affects the brain and behaviour. There will also be an opportunity for reflection on your own practices, and examining how this information can look, in terms of providing person-centred support.

Understanding Home Care Packages Webinar

This webinar will discuss home care packages, including the costs, contributions, complexities, and more. There will be a panel of experts to talk through how to maximise the home care package funding, as well as answering questions and concerns. There is also the opportunity to submit questions in advance during registration.
